Clinic Owner Onboarding
A guided setup flow to create your clinic, add your first doctor and patient, and configure preferences.
The onboarding for clinic owners is a short, guided flow that helps you set up your clinic in Dentail:
Step 1: Clinic Information
The first step is to create your clinic in Dentail. You'll enter basic information so that patients, appointments, and billing are tied to the correct clinic.
- Clinic name
- Phone number
- Address
- Clinic email

Replace this placeholder with a screenshot of the "Add doctor" screen. Show fields for doctor name, email, and (optionally) specialty. It's helpful to visually indicate that more staff can be added later from Settings → Staff.
Step 2: Add Your First Doctor
Next, add yourself or another main provider as the first doctor in your clinic.
- Doctor's name
- Specialty
Additional staff can be added later from **Settings → Staff**.
Step 3: Add Your First Patient
Create your first patient record to see what Dentail's patient profiles look like.
- Name
- Contact details (phone, email)
- Notes / medical history (optional at this stage)
You can import or add more patients later from the **Patients** tab.

Step 4: Features Overview & Preferences
Before exploring the app, you'll configure two important settings that affect how Dentail works for your clinic:
- **Email Language:** Choose the language for appointment emails sent to patients. This ensures patients receive notifications in their preferred language.
- **Payment Currency:** Select the currency that will be displayed throughout the app for payments, invoices, and financial reports (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP).
After setting these preferences, you'll see an overview of the main app areas: Dashboard, Patients, Appointments, Treatments, Financial/Billing, and Settings. You can review this or skip directly to the app.
What Happens After Onboarding
🎉 Welcome to Your Dashboard!
Once you click **"Get Started"** on the final onboarding screen, the system saves your clinic information and automatically brings you to the **Dashboard**.
What you'll see on your Dashboard:
- **Today's Appointments** – a list of appointments scheduled for today (will be empty at first)
- **Quick Actions** – buttons to add appointments, treatments, or patients
- **Navigation Tabs** – Dashboard, Patients, Appointments, Treatments, Financial, Settings
💡 Recommended first steps: Go to Settings → Treatments to set up your treatment types, then Settings → Rooms to configure your operatories. This makes scheduling appointments much easier!
